EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

At its early years of existence, the Palawan Biodiversity Conservation Advocates Inc. (PBCAI) has supported various environmental protection and conservation activities in spite of the lack of external funding support. These activities were financed through membership fees and donations from the members.

In the west coasts of Puerto Princesa City and Aborlan, foot patrolling and monitoring of marine turtle nesters were supported throughout the year including some of the hatchery materials.
Volunteerism is a virtue carried by the organization and its members.

Three of the members went to Marawi City after the siege and rendered their expertise with a local Non-government organization through the Lutheran World Relief (LWR). The organization also supported Earth Day Celebration and Month of the Ocean Coastal Clean-up Activities. Some of the members also conducted Information Education and Communication activities on plastic reduction and waste segregation.
With its past experience on sea turtle conservation, the organization was requested by the WWF to conduct train local volunteers in the municipality of San Vicente and El Nido.

The year is also a challenge for the members to pursue with the development of project proposals and look for other donors to be able to pursue its goals and objectives.
