EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Palawan Biodiversity Conservation Advocates Inc. continued to support conservation activities in Palawan. The organization has been in constant communication with Sea turtle Monitoring Teams or BantayPawikan in the west coast and responds to situations requiring technical support in coordination with the DENR-CENRO and the Puerto Princesa City-ENRO.

Networking and linkage building with other environmental organizations and advocates has been given ample time by the organization including the development of project proposals for future conservation projects that could benefit the province of Palawan and Puerto Princesa City.

In October 2018, PBCAI became a member of the Palawan Knowledge Platform for Biodiversity and Sustainable Development. It was also the project holder of the project “Palawan Knowledge Platform (PKP) Collaborative Study on Mercury in Humans and Wildlife (Flora and Fauna) in Puerto Princesa City and the Province of Palawan.” This project has given the organization some exposure with government agencies and different organizations also working for the environment.
